“Hugo” Room
Hedwig Selle and Hugo Starke married in 1907. Hugo became the new proprietor of Lindenschänke, which then passed into family ownership. First mentioned in 1862, Lindenschänke Dresden has seen many changes over the years and has become a much-loved meeting place for locals and tourists alike. Our Hugo Room is ideal for all kinds of celebrations, club meetings, conferences and homeowners’ association meetings for up to 40 people. Adorned with historic pictures and a collection of beer steins on its lovingly crafted wood panelling, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy good company.
“Hedwig” Room
After a happy marriage, Hugo Starke passed away in 1941, and Hedwig became the sole owner of the Lindenschänke. She ran the establishment with great skill until 1953. The “Hedwig” room, with its blend of historic and modern style, can accommodate up to 70 guests and is ideal for weddings, birthdays and corporate events. A large, beautifully blue-tiled stove adds a cosy warmth, especially in the colder months, and completes the impressive look. “Hedwig” is a must for your celebration!
Our “Elbstube”
A welcoming atmosphere awaits you in our “Elbstube”, around the blue-tiled stove on the ground floor. With 60 seats, it’s a cosy place to chat and enjoy good food. Changing exhibitions by regional artists, paired with culinary delights, are at the heart of our restaurant.

Our nearly 90 seats on the Elbe Terrace are always popular with our guests. With beautiful, unobstructed views of the Elbe and the surrounding natural landscape, we offer more than just a treat for the palate — a place to relax and unwind. “Elbgarten”
Our beer garden seats approx. 280 people. Beneath six large, shady lime trees, enjoy direct views of the Elbe and its meadows. You won’t find riverfront dining like this anywhere else in Dresden. We prepare delicious refreshments and culinary treats for you right here at the beer garden bar. Relax and enjoy a cozy time with friends and family.
